I wonder what he would say to him....
FREELANCE CHOREOGRAPHER and MOVEMENT DIRECTOR
I feel most fortunate to have had a long and varied career. To have fulfilled a childhood dream to study dance, which I did at The Arts Educational School. Danced with London City Ballet, and after a 15 year career as a dancer, spanning all aspects of the industry, became an aerial artist. Specializing in harness and doubles trapeze and now have an international choreographic career.
But the achievement of which I’m the most proud, is doing all this whilst raising and supporting my family.
My ultimate aim is to direct and create my own work. To find a way to take all the ideas that I have formed in my head, and scribbled down in my notebooks, off the page and onto the stage.
Currently writing the libretto for a new opera. Working with composer Jessica Maryon-Davies. Edie is based on the life story of Edie Sedgwick, Andy Warhol's muse and first 'It' girl of the 60's. Will use her tragic story to shed some light onto the issues of young peoples mental health and search for their 15 minutes of fame.
